What white-label actually means

At Rung 2 of the partner ladder, your brand goes on the report. Your name is on the cover, in the email, and in the client’s inbox. The client relationship is yours. You run the diagnostic call. You deliver the findings.

What does not change is the methodology, the quality standard, or the guarantee. HoursBack runs the analysis and produces the report behind the scenes. Every assessment passes the same 11-point QA check it always has. You are not improvising a method - you are delivering a proven one under your own name.

The guarantee transfers with the brand. At the co-branded proving-ground stage, the money-back guarantee is ours to carry. Once you earn white-label, that accountability moves to you. We are upfront about this on the partner call.

How the path works

There are four rungs. You start where you are and climb by proving, not by asking.

Rung 0

Refer

You introduce a client to HoursBack. We run the full assessment and deliver the report. You earn a revenue share, lifetime-locked to that client. There is no further time required from you. This is the natural starting point for anyone getting familiar with the product.

Rung 1

Co-branded proving ground

Both brands appear on the report. You run or co-run the diagnostic call. We deliver, quality-assure, and ship the report. Revenue share applies. This is where you learn the method and we see how you work with clients in practice. The relationship is tested before anything is assumed about it.

Rung 2

White-label

Your brand only. Your client, your call, your delivery. HoursBack runs the methodology in the background. This unlocks after roughly 10 clean co-branded assessments delivered to standard from a real, verifiable client base. The number matters less than what it shows: you have a functioning practice, real clients who are willing to go through this with you, and the volume to make the deeper integration worth the build time.

Rung 3

Self-serve

A further step where partners trigger the assessment generation directly, behind a hard quality gate, without David in the loop per report. This is on the roadmap. It is not available yet, and we will not speculate on timelines. Mentioning it here because it is the direction of travel - and if you are thinking about this programme as a long-term part of your practice, you should know it exists.

On the gate

Roughly 10 assessments is a working figure, not a mechanical counter. What we are looking for is a steady flow of genuine clients, consistent delivery quality, and confidence that the work would stand up under your name alone. That takes time. That is the point.

The standards that protect your clients

A good partner will want these. The requirements exist to protect your clients - and by extension, your practice.

An established practice

You have a functioning business with paying clients. Not a side project, not a launch plan, not “planning to go full-time.” The proving-ground phase only makes sense if there is a real practice behind it.

A verifiable client base

Your clients exist, they know your name, and they would respond if asked about the work you do for them. The co-branded phase makes this visible in the most natural way - by actually running assessments for them.

QA and feedback acceptance

During the proving-ground phase, every assessment passes our 11-point QA check. You will receive feedback. You accept it and act on it. If the quality is not there, the gate does not open. This is not adversarial - it is the standard that makes the brand worth carrying.

Alignment on delivery ethos

Plain language, honest findings, client-first. We assess this on the partner call. If your practice is built around telling clients what they want to hear, this is not the right fit. If it is built around telling them what they need to know, we will get along.

What this programme is not

Not a franchise

There is no upfront fee to join. There is no licence to purchase on day one. The proving-ground phase is free to enter. The costs come later, once white-label is earned and the integration is worth building. We will talk through the structure on the partner call.

Not immediate

The proving-ground phase takes time. That is not a flaw - it is the mechanism. A partner who has delivered ten clean assessments to real clients is a partner we trust. A stranger who has not is not. The timeline depends on how active your practice is, but there is no shortcut.

Not for everyone

If your practice is early-stage, or you are still building your client base, the referral programme at /partners is the right starting point. It is a strong model - not a consolation. Many partners stay there and build a meaningful income stream without ever moving to white-label.

Not a reseller or volume play

This programme is for consultants who want to add a sustainable capability to their practice, not people looking to arbitrage the margin. If volume is the goal rather than client outcomes, the fit is not right.
