How it works
Start with an Assessment
The normal route is a HoursBack Assessment. Your report identifies two to four agent opportunities tuned to your business - what each one would do and what it would save. Already know exactly what you want built? You can go straight to the scoping call instead.
Scoping call
A 30-minute call to lock the agent's job, inputs, outputs, tone and where it's going to live - wherever your work already happens, whether that's a Claude Project, a Custom GPT, or Copilot. You share 2-3 example outputs you'd accept.
Build and iterate
Build and test happens in our workspace, using synthetic data and the anonymised samples you supply. Ten business days for a straightforward build; anything larger is confirmed at your scoping call. You sign off the outputs against at least five real inputs before anything ships.
Handover
We deliver it into place - wherever we agreed it would live - send the documentation, and book the 30-minute walkthrough. From that point, it's yours to run.

One built-and-loaded agent
Configured to do one specific job, scoped from the agent opportunities identified in your Assessment report. We build it wherever your work already happens - that might be a Claude Project, a Custom GPT, or Copilot. The platform is agreed at the scoping call.
A knowledge base loaded with your data
Your documents, templates and samples, loaded and tuned so the agent reads your material the way you would.
Delivered into your own environment
However that platform works - an export file you import yourself in minutes, or an agent set up on your own login. Either way, it lives in your environment, not inside a HoursBack account, and you own it outright.
Plain-English documentation
Documentation covering what the agent does, what good input looks like, where it needs your judgement, and how to tweak it as your business changes.
A 30-minute handover call
We walk you through the agent on Zoom, run two live tasks together, and answer every setup question while we're on the line.
Sign-off against at least five real inputs
You see the agent's outputs against at least five real inputs and approve them before anything ships. If they miss, we iterate until they match, at no extra charge.
A 30-day support window
One tweak pass included (up to three hours) so you can adjust tone, format or knowledge base once you've lived with the agent for a few weeks.

We never ask for your logins, session cookies or two-factor codes, on any platform. The build happens entirely in our workspace, not inside your account.
Teaching you to build agents

Ongoing maintenance past the support window
After 30 days, further tweaks are a fresh scope or you handle them using the documentation.
Third-party integrations
Custom connections to CRMs, job-management tools or accounting systems are a separate engagement, whatever platform the agent runs on.
Agents handling regulated personal data
Health records, financial advice, safeguarding. If that's the use case, we'll say so at the scoping call and either reshape the scope or decline the build.
